Item Summary:
The City of Alpharetta is the lead organization to submit the joint application for the NFRRSA participating cities of Alpharetta, Milton, Roswell and Sandy Springs to purchase PA25 compliant equipment (portable radios) for Fire and EMS personnel.   The total grant amount is $2,123,544 of which Roswell's share is $642,242.25.  The application deadline is December 6, 2013.
Committee or Staff Recommendation:
On November 12, 2013 the Administration, Finance, Recreation and Parks Committee recommended placing this Item on the November 25, 2013 Mayor and Council Agenda.
Financial Impact:
The City of Roswell portion of this Grant is $578,018.03 with a required grant match of 10% or $64,224.23.  Funds for the required match are available in the Matching Grant Contingency Project.
