Item Summary:
Invitation to Bid #14-212-C was issued and five (5) bids were received ranging from $1,040,472.64 to $1,412,576.58. Vertical Earth was the lowest responsive, responsible bidder in the amount of $1,040,472.64.
 
This is a traffic operational improvement project to eliminate the SR 140 eastbound left turn 'trap' lane approaching Old Alabama Road. The project will add a right turn lane to the existing SR 400 northbound ramp 7A and modify the existing traffic signal. In the westbound direction the left-turn lane to southbound SR 400 will be extended. This is a GDOT funded operational improvement project and was identified in the HBR Corridor Study.

On August 27, 2014 the Community Development and Transportation Committee recommended placing this Item on the September 10, 2014 Mayor and Council Agenda.
 
Financial Impact:
Funds in the amount of $1,045,903.11 will be available in Org 22142200, Object 541415, and Project 91011.
