Body
Item Summary:
This property is one of the historic properties on S. Atlanta Street that would be impacted by the plan to eliminate the reversible lanes. The property currently projects into the proposed right of way and needs to be moved back on the property approximately 15 feet. The owner of the property is in the process of extensively renovating the property to prepare for a new business venture. The cost to do this work now is $24,950. If the City waits until the structure is renovated and the business opens, the price to move the structure will exceed $100,000 due to the increased costs of disconnecting all utilities as well as the loss of revenue.  Community Development & Transportation staff have coordinated this effort with the property owner.
