Item Summary:
The city's current computer backup system is antiquated and does not provide functionality for current or future technology improvements such as the ERP project. The proposed backup system will allow for complete backup of critical data and servers and provide for redundancy at two locations.

On July 7, 2009 the Administration and Finance & Recreation and Parks Committee recommended placing this Item on the July 20, 2009 Mayor and Council Agenda.
Financial Impact:
The cost for the system is $82,640 with a recurring annual cost of approximately $24,548. Funding is available in Cost Center 1520CP, Account 542400 and Project 06FIN001. Funding for the recurring annual costs will be requested in future operating budgets.
