Invitation to Bid #13-080-B was issued and eleven (11) bids were received ranging from $70,727 to $172,107.47. Earley Construction was the lowest responsive, responsible bidder in the amount of $70,727.
The project will fill a sidewalk gap of approximately 250 linear feet along SR 9 /Alpharetta Highway near the intersection of Clara Drive and provide for lighting, a wall, and a sight-distance improvement for vehicles stopped on Clara Drive. Construction should begin in June/July 2013 and be completed within 50 days.
