Item Summary:
The County operates a water treatment facility, Johns Creek Environmental Campus, located within the City of Roswell which abuts the Chattahoochee River and Garrard Landing. This IGA will lease 3.4126 acres for a period of 10 years to the City for recreational and park purposes. The City plans to construct a multi-purpose trail on the property. The City will maintain, repair, develop and patrol the property as long as the Agreement remains in effect.
On May 12, 2014 Mayor and Council approved a Land Use Agreement between the City of Roswell and Fulton County contingent upon approval by Fulton County. The County has requested revisions to the original approval including but not limited to: changing the Land Use Agreement to an IGA and decreasing the term from 25 years to 10 years with two 5 year renewal options. The County anticipates approving this IGA at the July Board of Commissioners meeting.
