Item Summary:
This action will provide for a monthly E911 service charge of $1.50 per month per VolP connection.  The City currently receives approximately $1.6 million in E911 revenue each fiscal year.  The potential revenue generated from the implementation of a service charge for VoIP subscribers is unknown at this time.

On June 2, 2009 the Public Safety & Public Works Committee recommended placing this item on the June 15, 2009 Mayor and Council Agenda.
 
Financial Impact:
The financial impact for FY 2010 is unknown at this time.  Future year revenue estimates for the E911 Fund will reflect additional revenue received from this action.
