Item Summary:
The City received funding from the Atlanta Regional Commission (ARC) in the amount of $280,000 to perform a Planning Study for the Big Creek Parkway, Phases 3 and 4 located west and east of SR 400 connecting Big Creek Parkway (currently in design) and Mansell Road in Alpharetta. The City will be the lead agent and, in partnership with the North Fulton CID, will select a qualified Consultant to perform the study.
Committee or Staff Recommendation:
On June 26, 2013 the Community Development and Transportation Committee recommended placing this Item on the July 8, 2013 Mayor and Council Agenda.
Financial Impact:
Funds in the amount of $70,000 (20% match) are approved and available in the Big Creek Phase 3-4, ORG 35042102, OBJ 541415, Project 93004 to cover the local match. The North Fulton CID agreed to a 50/50 cost share on the required match with each party paying $35,000. Upon approval of BA35042102 07-08-13 funds in the amount of $280,000 will be available in the grant account for this project. The total project cost is $350,000.
