Item Summary:
The Fulton County Department of Housing and Community Development informed the City that they have $22,077.21 available from previous CDBG allocations available for Roswell's use.  The County needs to advertise these funds as soon as possible because they must be used by November 1, 2012. The funds will be allocated to the Adult Recreation Center which is the only remaining project using Fulton County CDBG funding.  
 
The current approved budget for the Adult Recreation Center-Phase I project is $717,086.43.  With these additional funds the total project budget will be $739,163.64.  $561,576.64 will be funded from 2011 CDBG revenue that must be spent by November 1, 2012 and $177,587 will be funded from 2012 CDBG revenue that must be spent by May, 2013.  
 
Committee or Staff Recommendation:
On August 13, 2012 the Administration Finance and Recreation and Parks committee recommended placing this Item on the August 27, 2012 Mayor and Council Agenda.
 
Financial Impact:
Upon acceptance of these additional funds, the new project budget for the Adult Recreation Center Expansion - Phase I project will be $739,163.64.  Funds will be available in Org 22162000, account 541210, project 68003.
