Item Summary:
Under the terms of this agreement, the City will be responsible for the operations and maintenance cost for all lighting within the Hardscrabble Green Loop project.
Lighting is included on this project to comply with the federal standards for lighting at the roundabout (with Chaffin Road) and several midblock crossings throughout the project (pedestrian scale). There are currently 12 proposed light poles on the project.
Committee or Staff Recommendation:
On October 29, 2014 the Community Development and Transportation Committee recommended placing this Item on the November 10, 2014 Mayor and Council Agenda.
Financial Impact:
The estimated construction cost for lighting is $75,000 which is included in the project construction budget. Funding for the operations and maintenance costs will be paid by the Transportation General Fund Budget as appropriated annually.
