Item Summary:
In October 1999, the City passed a Resolution supporting the Georgia Municipal's Association's (GMA) Certified City of Ethics program and received City of Ethics Certification in January 2000. The City must submit recertification information to GMA by December 20, 2012. The five ethics adopted are:
To serve others, not ourselves;
To use resources with efficiency and economy;
To treat all people fairly;
To use the power of our position for the well-being of our constituents; and
To create an environment of honesty, openness and integrity.

On December 11, 2012 the Administration, Finance and Recreation and Parks Committe recommended placing this item on the December 17, 2012 Mayor and Council Agenda.
