Item Summary:
This is for the establishment of the Green Infrastructure Implementation and Best Management Practices (BMP) Revolving Fund Project. The project will improve water quality in Hog Waller Creek, as well as address polluted stormwater drainage by encouraging the treatment of stormwater runoff before it reaches stream segments, among other innovative uses of Green Infrastructure.
 
The application deadline is October 31, 2013.  EPD will notify successful applicants of Grant approval in May 2014.
Committee or Staff Recommendation:
On October 15, 2013 the Public Safety and Public Works Committee recommended placing this Item on the October 28, 2013 Mayor and Council Agenda.
Financial Impact:
The City match portion is $200,000 or 50% and the City would receive the federal portion of 50% or $200,000 for a total proposed estimate of $400,000.  Funds for the required match in the amount of $200,000 are available in the Stormwater Utility Fund.
