Description:

Councilmember Price met with representatives from Honeywell regarding their interest in conducting a no cost energy audit for the City. The initial step would be to engage in an energy audit to determine if sufficient savings opportunities exist to move forward. There are a number of firms in addition to Honeywell that provide this service. The objective of the energy audit is to identify projects to be funded through energy savings via a performance contract. The City has conducted energy audits in the past and this is one of the goals of the Facilities Condition Assessment project that is ongoing.
