Body
Item Summary:
This MOU renews the City of Roswell's participation in the DEA Task Force. This is a federal, state and local initiative involving 39 agencies from 11 counties designed to focus efforts on the interdiction and arrest of "high level" drug traffickers.

Currently, the Police Department has one officer assigned to DEA Task Force and has participated in the program for 14 years.  The cost to the City is the salary and vehicle operation costs for the officer. In return, the department has access to high level drug investigators to work trafficking in the Roswell area.  In addition, the City shares equally in all of the asset forfeitures made by the entire DEA Task Force.
