Body
Item Summary:
Gilhams Lake HOA has submitted an application for project funding through the L&P Partnership Program. The requested funds are to be used for removing accumulated sediment at Gilhams Lake in accordance with the objectives of the L&P Partnership Program.  Staff has reviewed the application and finds that it meets all of the criteria of the program. Under the L&P Program, the City's estimated share of the project would be $100,000, or 50% of the applicant's estimated budget cost of $200,000.

The Public Safety and Public Works Committee recommended using the unencumbered, remaining budgeted amount for Lake Charles in the amount of $33,841.20, with the remaining amount of $66,200 to be allocated from the Soil Erosion Fund.  The Soil Erosion Fund Committee approved this allocation of $66,200 from the Soil Erosion Fund to fund the L&P application, resulting in the $100,000 required for the City's share of the project.
