Body
Item Summary:
Comcast is phasing out its analog channel offerings to facilitate the deployment of a more advanced broadband platform delivering faster internet speeds, more high definition content and an expanded On Demand library. In this context, Comcast proposes to migrate the Roswell Government Channel (RCTV) to an exclusively digital format as well.

This change will not require any additional costs to the City of Roswell to cablecast the channel. The channel is currently being delivered in a digital format to Comcast Digital customers which make up the majority of Comcast's customer base.  There are approximately 182 customers who would need a converter box to view RCTV.  If approved, Comcast will mail a letter to each of the 182 Limited Basic residential customers explaining the change and offer a digital converter box at no charge.
