Item Summary:
The City contracted with RJ Haynie and Associates in the amount of $1,714,222.55 for construction of the ATMS along SR140 (Holcomb Bridge Road) and SR92 (Crossville/ Woodstock). The project construction is funded 80% by Federal funds with a 20% local match. Part of the funding for the SR 140 piece of the project came from the State Road and Tollway Authority (SRTA). The scope of the project includes adaptive traffic signal control, additional traffic monitoring devices and travel time stations along the corridor.
The construction contract includes 29 signalized intersections along Holcomb Bridge Road and SR92 corridor. This change order consists of one signal at Holcomb Center paid for by the developer and the addition of five signalized intersections (Crabapple Road at Houze Way; Norcross Street at Forrest Street/ Frazier Street; Magnolia Street at Mimosa Boulevard; Pine Grove Road at Coleman Road; Riverside Road at Riverside Park) off this corridor to maximize efficiency of Roswell's ATMS system.

On July 30, 2014 the Community Development and Transportation Committee recommended placing this Item on the August 11, 2014 Mayor and Council Agenda.
Financial Impact:
The cost to add the five intersections is $266,588.40. There is funding available from the completed SR9 ATMS project that can be transferred into the SR140 (Holcomb Bridge Road)/SR92 ATMS project.
