Bid # 09-097B was issued and one bid was received from Sunbelt Structures, Inc. in the amount of $478,600 which exceeds the approved budget amount of $409,080.
There are eight bridges in the bid proposal:

3. Roxburgh Drive Bridge @ Big Creek Tributary, ID 121-5099-0
4. Willeo Road Bridge @ Willeo Creek, just North of Chattahoochee River, ID 121-5158-0
5. Charles Place Bridge @ Hog Waller Creek, ID 121-5130-0
6. Crabapple Road Bridge @ Crossville Creek, ID 121-0310-0
7. Norcross Street Bridge @ Hog Waller Creek, ID 121-0309-0
8. Holcomb Bridge Road Bridge @ Big Creek, ID 121-5133-0
The scope of work has been revised to meet the approved budget and includes: removal and replacement of curb & gutter, filling of voids in areas under the bridges, improvement of drainage system to provide better runoff from the bridges, clearing and grubbing areas adjacent to the bridges, placement of stone riprap in scour areas, and painting of bridge structures.
Committee or Staff Recommendation:
On April 22, 2009 the Community Development & Transportation Committee recommended placing this Item on the May 4, 2009 Mayor and Council Agenda.
Financial Impact:
Funds in the amount of $409,080 are available in the Bridge Maintenance Program account, Cost Center 4210CP, Account #541415, Project #09TRA011.
