Item Summary:
Approximately 12,000 transactions occur annually for the Recreation Participation Fund through web payments with an average transaction of $175. The average transaction cost is $3.00. All transactions would pay the same fee so the cardholder would be aware of the exact charge of the convenience fee prior to conducting/processing a transaction.
Committee or Staff Recommendation:
On May 13, 2014 the Administration, Finance, Recreation and Parks Committee recommended placing this Item on the May 28, 2014 Mayor and Council Agenda.
Financial Impact:
Approval of convenience fees will provide approximately $36,000 annually in revenue for the Recreation Participation Fund.
