Item Summary:
This change order is needed to cover items that have developed as this project has progressed over the years. These items can be attributed to fulfilling the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) mitigation requests from National Parks Services (NPS), additional environmental studies that were not originally required, additional survey, GDOT's MS4 (Stormwater) policy which was not established when the contract was originally executed, placemaking and urban design elements along the corridor (associated with the alternatives analysis required for the environmental document), and additional hydraulic studies. If approved, the consultant is on track to submit the Environmental Assessment (EA) to begin the review and approval process in Nov 2014.

On July 30, 2014 the Community Development and Transportation Committee recommended placing this Item on the August 11, 2014 Mayor and Council Agenda.
Financial Impact:
$300,401 is approved and available for the Historic Gateway Project in ORG 35042200, OBJ 541415, Project 90006.
