Item Summary:
The City has had a contract since 1994 with Utility Service Company, Inc. for maintenance of the Water Tanks located on Community Circle, Hightower Road, and Woodstock Street. The City has the right to continue this contract annually and has elected to renew this in the past. However, due to changing technology, the required specifications for tank cleaning and maintenance need to be updated. Therefore, it is necessary to terminate the contract which will expire in December 2012. The contract requires 120 days written notification of cancellation. New specificaitons will be written and an invitation to bid will be issued for water tank maintenance services.

On August 14, 2012 the Public Safety and Public Works Committee recommended placing this Item on the August 27, 2012 Mayor and Council Agenda.
