Body

Item Summary:

The Peer Review Panel members who reviewed the FY2014 Contracts for Cultural Services funding (CFCS) applications recommended that the remaining unallocated funds of $2,700 be used to host instructional workshops for the City's arts and cultural nonprofit organizations. The main interest of the organizations is to conduct a workshop on Strategic Planning and Grant Writing.  Proposals for both workshops were obtained (Strategic Planning for $465.50 and Grant Writing for $500).

Committee or Staff Recommendation:

On December 10, 2013 the Administration, Finance and Recreation and Parks Committee recommended placing this Item on the December 23, 2013 Mayor and Council Agenda.

The Roswell Arts Commission recommended approval of the use of these funds at their November 5, 2013 meeting.

Financial Impact:

There will still be a balance of approximately $1,700 in unallocated FY2014 funding which can be rolled over into FY2015 and added to the total amount available for the CFCS program.
