The Transportation and Community Development staff have worked with Georgia Power to develop an alternative plan for services that undergrounds the majority of the overhead wires without relocating the major power resources that services the area. The agreement amounts are as follows:  Georgia Power - $350,000; AT&T - $275,000; Charter Communications - $27,000; Meer Electric - $53,953.

On July 28, 2010 the Community Development & Transportation Committee recommended placing this item on the August 9, 2010 Mayor and Council Agenda.

Financial Impact:

Funds in the amount of $749,659 are available in Cost Center 7410CP, Account 541415, Project Number 06GRA004, Project Oak Street Streetscape.
