Body
Item Summary:
The LMIG program was created to combine the Local Assistance Road Program (LARP) and the State-Aid programs. LMIG funding is dependent on the General Assembly's budget for the fiscal year and is allocated by a specific formula based on population and centerline miles of paved roads. In April 2012, the City submitted an application to GDOT requesting LMIG funds to resurface Mountain Park Road, Woodstock Road, and Grimes Bridge Road. GDOT has agreed to pay up to $497,000 to resurface these roads. The amount of $497,000 represents the City of Roswell's share of the LMIG budget based on the approved formula.
Committee or Staff Recommendation:
On September 26, 2012 the Community Development and Transportation Committee recommended placing this Item on the October 8, 2012 Mayor and Council Agenda.
Financial Impact:
Upon approval of Budget Amendment 22042200-10-08-12, $497,000 will be available in the Resurfacing Grant Account: 22042200; 541415; 91009.
