As part of the Sustainable Design and Green Building Toolkit Team for EPA Region 4, the following City employees have been recognized with a National Notable Achievement Award from the EPA:

·      Brad Townsend, Planning and Zoning Director
·      Jean Rearick, P.E., City Engineer
·      Alice Champagne, Water Resources Manager
·      Danelle Volpe, P.E., Water Resources Engineer
 
The Toolkit Team developed a technical assistance tool providing local governments with methodology for  assessment of ordinances by environmental objective and for identifying how permitting processes and local building ordinances can be modified to decrease pollution and increase conservation.
