City of Roswell Community Development has the rare opportunity to utilize the services of one of the more experienced international architectural designers. Gary Justice of the New Urban Guild is available for the Groveway charrette, September 24 and 25. He is highly fluent in all aspects of new urbanism. He is seasoned in charrette format with over 25 to his credit and as a participant internationally with DPZ, Dover Kohl, amongst others.
He can provide architectural concept drawings during the charrette "on the fly" as information is gathered from the participants. The City of Roswell has contracted with a consultant to provide renderings of the concepts that come out of the charrette. The cost of Mr. Justice's services for two days is $3,000. Funding in the amount of $5,400 is currently available in Community Development's professional services budget line item.
Due to the economic downturn his fees are reduced to $1,500 / day plus expenses or $3,000 for the two day charrette. Lew Oliver has offered to put him up for the night.

Community Development budget line item 521201 Professional Services was allocated to provide for such services and has an available balance of $5,400.
