Approval for the Mayor and/or City Administrator to sign Lease Agreements between the City of Roswell and the North Fulton Regional Radio System Authority (NFRRSA) for the Radio Tower Sites at Fouts and Hembree Roads.

Item Summary:
The Lease Agreements between the City of Roswell and the North Fulton Regional Radio System Authority (NFRRSA) provide for the location and construction of radio communications network facilities on City owned property on Fouts Road and Hembree Road.    
The basic terms of the Lease Agreements include:
Fouts Road
Tower - Construction of a communication tower up to 350 feet in height and ancillary support facilities
Term - 5 years with Four (4) five (5) year renewal periods
Rent - $2,500 per month + $500 per month for each co-location.  Any co-location must be approved by the City of Roswell.
Annual Inflator - 2 1/2% or CPI whichever is greater
 
Hembree Road
Tower - Construction of a communication tower up to 400 feet in height and ancillary support facilities.  The premises shall be used as the prime site for the communication system.
Term - 5 years with Four (4) five (5) year renewal periods
Rent - $2,500 per month + $500 per month for each co-location
Annual Inflator - 2 1/2% or CPI whichever is greater
 
Committee or Staff Recommendation
The Lease Agreements were approved at the December 5, 2013 meeting of the NFRRSA.  
 
Financial Impact:
Upon approval of the Lease Agreements, the revenues derived from the agreements will be avialable in the General Fund for Fiscal Year 2015 and beyond.  The Annual Rent is $30,000 per agreement for a total of $60,000 in year one.
