Reading of a Proclamation for National Public Works Week.

Item Summary:
National Public Works Week is May 18 - 24, 2014.  The week is a celebration of the employees of Public Works/Environmental Department along with those in the Transportation, Community Development and Building Operations Departments and recognition of the importance of public works to the community.  This year's theme is "Building for Today.  Planning for Tomorrow."  Activities include a Touch-A-Truck event on May 17th; Sanitation Truck Competition, Forklift Rodeo and Trackhoe Competition on May 20th; and a breakfast and lunch for employees.
