Body
Item Summary:
In June 2013, Mayor and Council signed a Resolution to accept the 2013 HOME award from Cobb County and the Georgia Urban County Consortium (GUCC) in the amount of $74,658. In July, Cobb County informed the City that its 2013 HOME funding had been increased to the amount of $111,765 with a total required City match of $23,750.25.  Staff anticipates the required match will be fulfilled through in-kind volunteer hours provided by subrecipients.  However, should in-kind support fall short of the required match, any remaining amount would be funded by the City's Grant Match Contingency.

Committee or Staff Recommendation:
On August 13, 2013 the Administration, Finance, Recreation and Parks Committee recommended placing this Item on the August 26, 2013 Mayor and Council Agenda.
Financial Impact:
Upon approval of Budget Amendment 22115000-08-26-13, an additional $37,107 will be available in Org 22115000 and Project 18004 for a total 2013 HOME Grant budget of $111,765.  This resolution also authorizes a City match of $23,750.25 which is anticipated to be provided through in-kind volunteer hours.  If necessary, funding for the City match is available in the City's Grant Match Contingency, which has a balance of $193,952.10.
