Approval to accept the final report of the Holcomb Bridge Road (HBR) Corridor Study.
Presented by Steve Acenbrak, Director of Transportation
Body
Item Summary:
Over the past year the City has conducted a very thorough major transportation study in the area of Holcomb Bridge Road at the SR 400 interchange.  The consultant team has developed viable short-term, mid-term, and long-term concepts and vetted those with extensive stakeholder and public outreach and produced the final study document.

The report provides an overview of the study, highlights the vision and goals for the area, and creates a master plan to guide future improvement decisions. The list of 22 projects was prioritized to serve as a guide during the implementation process. Prioritization included technical factors and considered input from the community, key stakeholders, coordinating agencies, City staff, and City officials. As funding becomes available, Mayor and Council can implement projects from the list.

Committee or Staff Recommendation:
On August 29, 2012 the Community Development and Transportation Committee recommended placing this Item on the September 12, 2012 Mayor and Council Agenda.

Financial Impact:
The pending bond referendum directs $6 million to improvements at this intersection.  Staff will continue to seek funding for the remainder of the identified projects.
